Website updated...finally! (January 22, 2009)
I'm happy to report that the website (www.indigowellness.info) has finally been updated to reflect classes and information relevant to February and March. There is more to come, of course...but there is a WHOLE lot of fun going on at Indigo.
We offer a variety of gentle to moderate level classes so that folks with restrictions and/or limitations can work through these issues at a comfortable pace. Check out the Lunchtime, Gentle, L.Langley, and/or 'Come As you Are' classes if you are NOT looking for a fast-moving flow class...these classes are geared more toward slowing down and exploring. Also, another round of Plus Size Beginner Yoga & "Brand New to Yoga?" will begin soon...check the website for details.
With that being said, we love intensity TOO and have vigorous styles and classes available for those who are fit or looking to become more fit with their yoga practice. In the Ashtanga and Power Yoga classes there are several Sun Salutations and standing poses ~ sometimes several breaths in each pose followed by a Sun Salutation into the next pose. It isn't for everyone, but those who like this style tend to actually LOVE this style! I personally enjoy practicing these styles, but I enjoy teaching less intense forms because I feel there is a need to do so ~ I believe I was called to help the extremely stresse-out!!
For full class listings and times, check out our website at www.indigowellness.info - Power Yoga with Mark is every Tuesday & Thursday night at 5:45pm. Shannon offers Ashtanga Yoga Wednesday nights at 6:30pm. There is another round of Intro to Power Yoga for Women Only in February as well (check the website for details.) Of course we also love and recommend Tapas Yoga Shala (www.tapasyogashala.com) in Davenport - love to E & K!!
The point is ~ don't be afraid...there is a style/class/instructor/opportunity out there for YOU to discover the powerful benefits of yoga...check out a variety until you find what resonates with you. Of course, there are the few who just can't get into it...and that's ok! BUT, if you're interested - now is the time! There is a lot of great yoga going on in the QCA - explore & discover YOUR inner yogi today!!
